FAQ

  • What should I wear to a workshop or event?

Check whether the session is mat-based or seated. For mat-based events, comfortable yoga or lounge clothing is best. For seated sessions, any relaxed outfit is fine. We recommend wearing layers and, if possible, clothing that allows access to the neck and chest area in case we work on lymphatic drainage in that region.

Can I wear makeup to a facial wellness session?

Yes, but it’s not ideal. We usually apply facial oil during the session, so clean skin is preferable. We always have gentle wipes available if you’d like to remove makeup on arrival.

I wear glasses - how does that work with face yoga or tools?

No problem at all. We suggest removing your glasses during face yoga, Gua Sha, or cupping, just as you would for a facial. Contact lenses can be worn if preferred, but are not essential.

Can I come to an event if I’m pregnant?

Yes - most of our facial wellness practices are gentle and safe during pregnancy. If you’re unsure, please let us know when booking so we can advise based on the session format.

    Is this suitable postnatally?

Absolutely. Many new mums attend our sessions as a moment of calm and reconnection. If you’re breastfeeding or recently postpartum, please feel free to bring anything you need for comfort. Our sessions are baby-free, but very much baby-aware.

Do I need to bring anything to an event?

We provide everything you need — Facial tools, Facial oil samples, and wipes. Just come as you are. If you’d like to bring your own water bottle, that’s always welcome.

  • Are the tools suitable for sensitive skin?

Our tools are designed with sensitive skin in mind, but everyone’s skin is different. Always patch test oils or new products before use. Use gentle pressure, follow the guidance provided, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

I have a skin condition (rosacea, acne, eczema). Can I still do Facial Rituals?

In most cases, yes. We’ll guide you on how to adapt pressure and technique. However, if you’re experiencing an active flare-up or have broken skin, we recommend waiting until it has settled or checking with your skincare professional.

Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. All Unfold Face products are vegan, cruelty-free, and made with intention.

What order should I use your tools in?

There’s no single ‘right’ order - your face may need different things at different times of day, week, or season.

That said, we often recommend this as a starting point:

    1. Face Yoga — to awaken muscles and lift
    2. Gua Sha — to sculpt and release deeper tension
    3. Facial Cupping — to boost circulation and bring glow
    4. Face Taping — to reset and soften overnight

But you don’t need to do all of them, all the time.
These rituals are here to support you - not to become another rigid routine.

Our consultations are designed to help you tune into what your face really needs and how to build a ritual that fits you.

  • Can I do facial fitness if I’ve had Botox or fillers?

Yes - and in many cases, it can be incredibly helpful. If you’ve had Botox (especially in the forehead), it’s beneficial to support lymphatic drainage across the whole face and focus on toning the lower face. If you have filler, gentle massage and lymphatic techniques can help reduce puffiness and support circulation. We usually avoid cupping over filler, as it can be too strong - but this can all be adapted to suit you. Let us know when booking and we’ll advise accordingly.

Will this give me visible results?

We don’t promise miracles and we don’t add to the noise of dramatic before-and-afters. Real results come from consistency and connection. Our tools and rituals are designed to support your skin and nervous system from the inside out. If you see visible change, that’s your commitment, your time, your practice.

Do you offer refunds on events or consultations?

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. One-to-one sessions can be rescheduled with 48 hours’ notice. Digital products are non-refundable once delivered.
